Late Bronze Age Enclosure

A rectilinear double-ditched enclosure showed clearly on the cropmark aerial photographs and on 29th September 1984 MAG started an excavation.

It was not long before the enclosure could be dated to the Late Bronze Age and we were pleased that ECC archaeologists could take over the excavation. The results were subsequently fully published in 1988.
