Lofts - Iron Age Huts and Settlements

Several round-house ring-ditches were recorded which provided distinct collections of pottery sherds. There were no stratographic links between huts and they were well spread over the Lofts site. However, I am hopeful that a specialist analysis of the finds would be able to determine a sequence to the settlements. Middle and late Iron Age settlements are traditionally difficult to date precisely and I believe the Lofts discoveries could be very helpful in this respect.
